Energage, an employee survey company based in Exton, Pennsylvania, played a crucial role in identifying these top workplaces. They surveyed over 120,000 Massachusetts employees across 314 organizations. The survey assessed various aspects of the employee experience, including leadership, values, training, and benefits. The rankings were then categorized based on company size: small (50-99 employees), medium (100-249), large (250-999), and largest (1,000 or more). To be eligible, companies needed a minimum of 50 employees in Massachusetts.
And this is the part most people miss... It's not just about the perks. It's about creating a culture of respect, appreciation, and growth. These companies are fostering environments where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Interestingly, the real estate industry seems to be leading the way in employee satisfaction this year. All four of the top-ranked companies are in the property business, including three brokerages. This could be attributed to the flexibility offered by these jobs and the fact that a college degree isn't always a requirement. The recovering housing market also plays a role, providing opportunities for financial success and the personal satisfaction of helping people find their dream homes.
